Rap Feud erupts in gun Terror- Article published by Sunday Mercury Share

"Their faces contorted with hate." Is the opening line to appallingly inconsistent article written by Steve Jones in today's Sunday Mercury.

This is the typical media view of a young person with an ounce of melanin in today's society. However what is frequently overlooked is at these faces that are apparently contorted with hate, are actually contorted with frustration. These are images of a young survivor of lifelong institutional racism which is a part of the fabric of good old Blighty!

The media deem every act of violence that takes place in Birmingham is somehow connected to the Johnson or Burger Bar Crew. And through several degrees of seperation they somehow manage to attach the story to the fatal muders of Letisha and Charlene.

The underlying covert mechanics of the media hold young black boys in a stagnate position in society. Unfortunately a lot of 'Urban Youth' believe this self fulfilling prophecy and therefore act their lives as if on the, 'Truman Show' reciting these harmful scripts line for line!

Ok so back to the article.. Let's look at this apparent feud between each gang member being some kinda plight to gain popularity within the music industry. I will allow you a few seconds to think of an MC who is a member of the JC or BBC who PA's abroad, up and down the country, or even leaves the ends to go chip shop... #PAUSE

No person is stupid enough to believe that through gang affiliation they would be able to make it into the music industry, unless their a free mason.. But we are talking small fry here. That's a next blog.. Lol!

Jones also talks about this alleged 'insider' who speaks about what the 'cops' #PAUSE <------ who says that this side of the Atlantic.. I sense either some severe mis-quotation or propaganda going on here.. Journalists that try to re-create the terminology apparently used in the hood, are effectively 'parring' themselves so to speak.

I could write about this bullshit article all day, but I have dumplings to fry so I will leave you with this..

In order for young people to progress within today's society they need to gain a sense of self! Know thyself, know where you came from and exactly where you are going.. Until this happens, articles like this one will keep you mentally chained, these 'scripts' will keep being written. And young people will keep reciting them line for line. Not to get too Afro Centric on this glorious Sunday afternoon, but this whole black on black crime thing is DEAD! I leave you with a classic Erykah Badu lyric..

"What if there were no nigga's only master teachers? I stay woke!"

Peace
